Terms and Conditions

Terms governing access and use of the Velocity rental management platform operated by Quantum Studio.

Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the access and use of the Velocity rental management platform, a software product owned and operated by Quantum Studio, a registered business, and doing business under the product name “Velocity.”

  • Registered Business Name: Quantum Studio
  • Product / Trading Name: Velocity

By accessing or using the Velocity platform, the customer agrees to comply with these Terms.

Definitions

  • Platform
    Velocity cloud-based rental management software.

  • Customer / User
    Any business or individual using Velocity.

  • Subscription
    Paid access to Velocity services.

  • Data
    Any information uploaded or stored by the customer.

  • Services
    Features include booking management, vehicle tracking, customer management, analytics, and reporting.

Eligibility

Users must:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have legal authority to operate a business
  • Provide accurate registration details

Velocity may suspend accounts with false or misleading information.

Account Registration

Customers must:

  • Create an account
  • Maintain login confidentiality
  • Be responsible for activities under their account

Velocity is not responsible for unauthorized access caused by poor credential management.

Description of Services

Velocity provides software tools for:

  • Vehicle inventory management
  • Booking management
  • Customer management
  • Rental contract management
  • Payment tracking
  • Analytics and reporting

Velocity does NOT operate rental services itself.

Velocity only provides software infrastructure and is not responsible for:

  • Rental transactions
  • Vehicle conditions
  • Accidents
  • Disputes
  • Customer behavior

Subscription & Payments

  • Subscription plans
  • Payment cycles (monthly / yearly)
  • Accepted payment methods
  • Auto-renewal policy

Subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Late payments may result in service suspension or termination.

Free Trials

  • Trial duration
  • Feature limitations
  • Automatic conversion to paid plan

After the trial period expires, access to the platform may be restricted until a paid subscription is activated.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers must:

  • Use the platform legally
  • Ensure accuracy of uploaded data
  • Maintain compliance with local transport laws
  • Obtain necessary licenses and permits

Customers are responsible for:

  • Vehicle condition
  • Insurance
  • Rental agreements
  • Customer disputes

Velocity is not liable for operational issues of rental businesses.

Prohibited Use

Users may not:

  • Reverse engineer the platform
  • Copy or resell the software
  • Use it for illegal activities
  • Upload malicious code
  • Attempt unauthorized system access

Violation may result in immediate account termination.

Data Ownership

Customers retain ownership of their data.

Velocity may:

  • Store
  • Process
  • Secure
  • Analyze anonymized data for product improvement

The customer retains full ownership of all business data uploaded to the platform.

Data Security

Velocity will take reasonable measures to protect data including:

  • Encryption
  • Secure servers
  • Access control

However:

  • No system can guarantee absolute security
  • Users should maintain backups where necessary

Intellectual Property

All rights to the software belong to the company.

Includes:

  • Source code
  • Design
  • Algorithms
  • Branding
  • Documentation

Users receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use the platform.

They do not own the software.

Third-Party Services

Velocity may integrate with services such as:

  • Payment gateways
  • SMS providers
  • Email providers

Examples include:

  • Razorpay
  • Stripe

Velocity is not responsible for downtime or failures caused by third-party providers.

Service Availability

Velocity aims for high uptime but does not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Possible interruptions may occur due to:

  • Maintenance
  • Server failures
  • Third-party outages
  • Force majeure events

Limitation of Liability

Velocity shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of revenue
  • Business interruption
  • Data loss
  • Vehicle damage
  • Customer disputes

Maximum liability:
Total liability shall not exceed the subscription fees paid in the previous 1 month.

Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify Velocity from claims arising from:

  • Rental accidents
  • Legal disputes with customers
  • Regulatory violations
  • Misuse of the platform

Termination

Velocity may suspend or terminate accounts if:

  • Terms are violated
  • Payments are overdue
  • Illegal activities are detected

Users may cancel their subscription at any time.

Data Retention After Termination

Customer data may be retained for up to 30 days after account termination for recovery purposes.

After that, it may be permanently deleted.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.

Disputes will be handled in courts located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

Changes to Terms

Velocity may update the Terms periodically.

Users will be notified through:

  • Email
  • Platform notification

Continued use implies acceptance.
